Response from Lancashire County Council

Councillor Atkinson referred us to the Director of Highways who gave us this response saying that The County Council says that its limited budget means it must prioritise sites with recorded injury collisions and Ramsgreave Road does not meet the criteria for intervention, as recent incidents involved no injuries and were not linked to speed or road layout. Unlike nearby areas where measures were funded by BAe development, no similar funding is currently available, though an officer will arrange a meeting to discuss possible alternatives.
